Tonight one of our cottage cats gave a birth...now it is near to 4 AM and it seems like the second one gave a birth as well! I heard some meowing from the garden so i went to check it... one kitten got lost and tried to get back to her mom, so i lightly pushed him back to cats and it seems like it is ok now.. sadly, there is one that seem to die soon, because i found him all cold in grass... it was moving a bit, so i put him to the cats as well, but i doubt it will survive...its weird that the cat didnt put them back herself...but there are two reasons why..she is too young, she osnt even one year old and has babies already, so maybe its too soon for her to have a kittens... the other reason is that she rejected them, because before already grandpa touched the kittens and i think he shouldnt touch them...who knows...
awww.....only hingis ...the one on the far right...whats with the bloody looking red sack?? O_o ..if its normal 4 kittens to have that..well.......... um XD someone tell me what that is or if im seeing things
each kitten is born with own placenta. That is this red thing you see there. After the kitten is born, theirm om eats the placenta again <xP
aw that was a very sad moment
Usually it's nothing to do with scents but if that kitten has something wring with it (Like deficiency etc. calcium, iron) or is the runt it is sadly normal for them to reject the kitten but there is a chance she'll take it back
The grandpa should not have touched them. He's possibly got his scent all over them, and the mother doesn't recognize them.
The mom will not reject the kittens if you touch them, you can try putting the baby closer to its mother, maybe she just didn't notice that the baby got away from her. Aww, they're so cute x3 two of my cats had kittens a few years ago but after that all my cats got neutered and spayed because it's so hard to get the kittens adopted
They're cute! Maybe in time, hopefully soon, she'll come around to her kittens and un-reject them~
