Sweet omelette cake by Angi-Shy Sweet omelette cake by Angi-Shy
UPDATE: whoa, 100 view in 24 hours? :faint: and people really being interested in trying this ;u; i didnt expect that!

UPDATE2 - TIPS:
- use a cake tin that has the same size as an omelette. Put in one omelette, add cream and stuff, put another omelette on it and so on. It helps to keep a good shape

- let the omelettes get cold first, they hold a shape better

- leave it in fridge for 2 hours, the cream will act like a glue then and the cake will not fall over

- you can experiment with layers, add also jam and pudding to random layers too

Somebody would call it just ap ancake, but believe there is a difference between pancakes (where each layer is very bolt) and omelettes (that are very thing)
I made this according to one recipe found on internet, but changed some stuff so i thought it would be nice to put it on internet as well so poeple can try it as well.

Actually it's not wrong to call this a pancake. This is the same thing as a French crÍpe, which is just a version of pancake. So they're all pancakes :D
Omelets however constitute only of eggs and sometimes also milk, never flower or sugar.

also its a good idea to work with a cake tin..my omelettes were just as big as one cake tin we had, so i always put one omelette in, put cream and stuff on it, then added next omelette and so on, so it held a good shape

Ohhh yesh we'd need to get a tin! It'll definitely help keep the shape! That was another little "problem" we ran into :aww: (shaping it correctly xD)

Ohhhh I didn't think of taking the photo, sadly... xDD I could have though, sorry ^^;
And umm it's a bit difficult to explain why it looked different, just perhaps a bit different
in color, but it tasted awesome, and that's all that matters!! :))) I'm pretty sure this
recipe will become one of our things to do for things like birthdays and whatnot! :aww:
When we make it again I'll try to take a picture to share! :aww:
Once again, thanks so much for sharing it, dear Angi!! :aww:

Oh ok it's like a french crepe. You probably could do something like this with pancakes and jam to. =3

i looked it up on google and i think it looks the same so maybe it is the same thing.. jsut in czech we call this thing palačinky, but translate google translates it as pancakes, but its not same, but french crepe is.. so i have a mess in names though :T

The big difference between a crepe/palačinky and pancakes is yeast. Pancakes are fluffy and spongy. Which is what I meant when I said that you maybe could make a cake like that with pancakes. But thinking about it now it might not be as stable. Cause they might wobble and fall over. I don't know, this is why I'm not a chef. XD

ohhhh yeah that is true xD and well it might not fall over, its not that tall cake plus the cream is like a glue, it might hold it together ^^ i mught try it with pancakes next time indeed
