I still hear drom people things like "But cartoons can't die"... sorry, but they CAN! And in many ways...

One theoretical way is that toons can die, if poepl forget about those characters...

Second...Toon characters can die, it it's author's intension...You can see many of deaths in many of cartoons. Even fan can to revive those characters... but officially they are still dead as fas as author decided it.

Third, more toony way invented in a movie "Who Framed Roger Rabbit". They had such a weird...water? That makes dissolving the toons...

Last fourth way i know is...an eraser

So... it mainly depends on the author, if he accepts a death of characters.. but as fas, as there are these reason, they CAN to die...no excuses

well, i always thought they could'nt, but antone who has seen who framed roger rabbit (or infact tiny toons) they can die or be killed

Thinking back to Roger Rabbit I do remember the Judge using the DIP...those poor squeeky shoes.
So yeah, makes sense to me. ^^
