Orphaned baby mouse - last sad update

So i was just about to feed little matilda now at 2PM. When i checked her, she was breathing heavily and laying on side. When i touched her, she quickly got up, so i was relieved that she maybe was in a deep sleep... but sadly she kept breathing heavily...
I only sat down and picked her up, ready to feed her, but suddenly she started to open mouth wide, stretched legs, wiggled tail, like if she had spasm...i only could watch her, i knew she was dying... right at the moment when i was about to feed her, right when i held her in my hands...she died...
She seemed very active just three hours before, but i know that alot of animals that are about to die get more active before the dreath as the body gives all te last energi into organs in an attempt to survive...i was suspicious about her higher activity indeed, so...i was right..
She was underfed when we found her, but her breathing didnt look well since the beginning, she had one bad eye...she simply was somehow ill...i feel terrible that i couldnt help her more than this... at least she didnt die on a cold floor of men toilet, but i still feel bad for that i couldnt save her... i was already imagining how i release her back into the wild all healthy and okay...but she didnt make it... i always wished to rescue a tiny animal, mainly a rodent, and when it finally happened, it just...happened to be a very ill little baby that couldnt be saved... i wish i could do more...
Rest in peace little Matilda, may my hamster Chive be your company burried right next to you in front of our flat...
